Amazon.co.uk Review
They may be every parent's nightmare, but the rap all-stars that comprise the 2000 Up in Smoke tour (smoke, as in blunts and chronic--or marijuana, for the uninitiated) are incredibly popular with a surprising cross-section of young music lovers today. This two-hour-plus DVD captures most of one concert by the four rappers who joined together for this tour: Ice Cube, Eminem, Dr Dre, and Snoop Dogg. If you aren't a fan of the music, don't expect this to change your mind, or even to help you understand these rappers' appeal. For the devoted, however, you get heaping doses of four of the hottest acts working, in a show that includes lavish production values, as well as plenty of backstage footage and photographs as extra features. Given the slice-and-dice editing (no shot, it seems, is allowed to last more than two seconds), it's hard to get a fix on them or a true picture of what the show looked like if you happened to be sitting in the audience. --Marshall Fine

hey the up in smoke tour has been said to be the biggiest and bestest hip hop show to be shown and captured on film and oh my god was the reviews right this amazing hip hop concert was shot in 2001 and feautires the rappers ice cube, Eminem, Dr Dre and snoop dogg with apprences from xzibit nate dogg D-12 and devin the dude this awsome event took place in boston and all kicks of with ice cube and the westside connection and then eminem appers after ice cube with hardcore songs from his slim shady and marshal mathers albums as well as his part in the Notorious Big song dead wrong and rellly hots up the concert but the flame is relly lit when dr dre and snoop dogg kicks it all up with songs from dre's 2001 albu and with classics from his the chronic but also this is quality because it not jus rappers grabbing a mic and rapping it is very theatrical . the rool it lite smoke it sequal adds some drama to the concert aswel as the skull . but also through the dvd there is backstage footage of ice cube, eminem and d-12, dre, and snoop . so i would relly recomend this coz once you see this you will want to watch it over and over again oh yeah and all the rappers sing live ther is no lypsyinging at all in this concert.

This show is simply awesome. The cast reads like a 'who's who' of gangsta rap today, and is not to be missed by any rap or hip hop fan. Ice cube kicks off with 4 songs of his own including 'You Can Do It', and is followed by Eminem who performs songs from his first two albums; Slim Shady LP, and Marhshall Mathers LP. Then it's on to what I would personally consider the main event, lead largely by Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg. This section sees appearances from Xzibit and Nate Dogg amongst others, as phenomenal classic hits such as 'Forgot About Dre, 2 Of Amerikaz Most Wanted and Next Episode' are performed live. Throughout the DVD there are back stage interviews and footage of the main participants and some other familiar faces from the scene of rap. I cannot emphasize how incredible it is to witness so many of the biggest stars of the music industry under the same roof at the same time. It is a feat which will quite probably never be repeated and one which any true fan should not be without.

It was a briliant show full of entertainment and lots of shots of the back stage and the rappers hanging out after the shows. All rappers who feated with the headlining rappers.
i'd give it 10 out of 10 for rap fans.

Im not really a hip hop fan but when watching this video i was impressed. Dr Dre and Snoop definatly steal the show, though Eminem is quite impressive.

Highlights of this vid include The boneyard, The 2pac tribute and when the skeleton head comes down "DOES NE1 HAVE ANY SMOKE?"

This is a must have for any hip hop fan, i would recommend this to anyone.
