1 out of 5 stars this is a con   April 3, 2008

this is a complete rip off if any of you retards spent five minutes reading about hacking psp's you would realise that you can make that battery in five minutes using just software and essentially copying and pasting wit your pc. this is completely free. that psp battery tool is just an ordinary psp battery. how do you think the technitions that work for sony get the psp into service mode? they use the battery in the psp. all batterys that are supplied with the psp can do this because that is what they are designed to do!

5 out of 5 stars great   March 25, 2008

dont criticise this item. its only half the package because to provide it all to you is breaking the law. Anyone with a bit of common sense can find what they need and if you brick your psp, memory stick or not this helps. People on ebay are charging 30 plus for such items! I started trying to mod a battery and since it nearly resulted in me severing an artery with a knife when opening it I decided to play safe.

If you cant manage with this then you shouldnt be putting CFW on as it will only end in tears!

4 out of 5 stars does exactly as advertised   March 13, 2008

This tool does exactly as advertised, it won't mod your PSP for you, but with a little internet research, a bit of patience, and following the instructions EXACTLY, you can CFW your PSP in 10-15 minutes. i had no issues whatsoever.

giving this anything less than top marks is stupid.

5 out of 5 stars does what it should do   March 10, 2008

all it does it puts your psp into service mode for custom firmware. this works on both psp fat and slim (ive tryed both)(for slim you have to hold the battery into battery socket, it still works.thats all

5 out of 5 stars Does what it needs to do   March 10, 2008

This battery works well for my switch to custom firmware. I was always anxious about the risks, but once I did some research and found that this was a good thing to use I went ahead and bought one, and highly recommend the TOOL battery to anyone wanting to run homebrew.

I was on 3.72 official firmware and didn't even downgrade to 1.5, just went straight to 3.71m33! However, I was helped with this process by talking to someone over the internet, and so I am thankful to them. If you are confused at all about what to do, you should really make sure you know as much as you can- it was all very confusing to me at first! but now I am reaping the rewards. PS1 games, Mega Drive games, SNES games and more!

I used a 4gb stick and made it "magic". I would recommend around this size to get more games on. ps1 games run normal speed it's great, and putting them on is very easy. You might think playing these old games on a PSP is strange, but it is perfect. Sonic The Hedgehog 2 on PSP- can't argue with that!! :D
