4 out of 5 stars Addictive fun, made for the handheld console!   January 5, 2008

For those that are familiar with the series, this installment is much the same, brilliantly converted for the handheld format.
For those who aren't, ICC is fiercely addictive and playable. If you are a cricket fan, you'll love it. It captures the spirit of the game, is realistic, and is packed with stats. Also, if you love other sport management games, there's a good chance this will appeal to you.
One of its major plus points as a handheld game is it's 'pick-up-and-play-ability'. Although its easy to sit on the sofa or lye in bed and play it for hours, you can also whip it out on the train, have it up and running quickly, and play a couple of overs before saving and slipping it bag in your bag.
A genuinely excellent game that is really at it's best as a handheld game.
It only looses 1 star because as a keen player of the Football Manager series, I can't help thinking there's a few areas where ICC could do with a bit more detail. Nevertheless, this is highly recommended.

2 out of 5 stars Extremely slow game (and I dont mean cricket)   November 21, 2007

I have always enjoyed ICC on PC and I didnt think too much could go wrong with this game. However, a four-day match is almost played in real time. If you are content to watch every ball go down then you will probably love it but I can't imagine many people are.
You can play it an over at a time but it clicks through each ball at a pretty slow pace and I would say a Championship game takes over an hour. You tend to lose concentration and interest in the match as it drags on.
Its saving grace is the 20/20 and one-day games which are manageable.
Good idea, but needs to concentrate less on the graphics and more on the playability, please take a leaf out of Football Manager.
