good May 12, 2008 Mr. J. Francis Although when you get on the pitch you have pretty good graphics There are downsides. 1. In my opinion the loading times take ages and will will really annoy you, even for corners there are loading times. 2. Also there is hardly any commentary. STILL IT IS WAY BETTER THAN FIFA AND HAS GRAET GRAPHICS. Worth a punt!
AWFUL! April 10, 2008 David John Barrowman 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
PRO EVO 5 BETTER THAN THIS ONE THIS GAME IS GASH AN D FAULTS OUT ALL THE TIME DO NOT BUY!
not bad April 8, 2008 C. Gorman (NZ) Ok no stadium choice and no commentary (apart from the few words spoken when a goal is scored)...i really don't see the problem there. The gameplay is improved for sure and it is now actually possible to score from a free kick!...however the dept at Konami in charge of making sure the players look like the stars they are supposed to be must have gone on holiday when this game was in the works....in the last PES player likeness was superb, now its rubbish...with most players resembling Max Headroom! Oh and the World Tour mode is really quite pointless, why couldn't they put all that design effort into the gameplay of commentary? Having said all that it is a better game for sure. Tackling and dribbling are lots better.
Pes 2008 (psp) is sublime March 31, 2008 Anna Pilkington (lodnon) this new release is money well spent. master league is hugely improved with a better transfer sytem. new mode wold tour is hugely enjoable as well. buy it now!
Pes 2008 PSP Version March 22, 2008 Martin Kaufman (Essex, England) I have Fifa 07 on the PSP and like it, I have been looking forward to PES 2008 on the PSP as it is a more in depth game but does not have the glitz of Fifa.
The games are quite different, Fifa is pick up and play, PES 2008 is not. I have had this for a couple of weeks now and tend to play it when I'm travelling and still to be honest find it difficult to score, which is part of the fun, when I do score especially from a header I thought it was amazing purely due to the difficulty in doing this. The game takes time to master but as you make small increments in skill it does get more pleasurable. You can down load various updates from the web to make your teams identity true to real life which I did and adds a element of reality. As everyone has stated, the master league is the best part of the game as is the world tour.
I enjoy this game, am 38 years old but a casual gamer. Yes there are flaws like slow down when many players are in the box but you have to appreciate this is a hand held game on a hand held console. I have seen and played the DS version which is abysmal. I would have given this 5 stars apart from the fact of the slow down and I had to pay for the online update.
Yes I would recommend this to anyone who likes a challenge.
