Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.co.uk Review:
In a nutshell:
The PC and console worlds combine thanks to man's best friend and a mouse's greatest enemy. Create, pamper and train your favoured furry companions in the latest The Sims 2 expansion.

The lowdown:
After years of trying to create less complex, mini-game orientated spin-offs it seems EA are now keen to see the PC and console The Sims games converge. This new iteration is an expansion pack on the PC but a full price, stand alone game on the consoles. As the name subtly hints the main addition to the game this time round is a number of four-legged friends, plus fish and birds (although it's really cats and dogs that get most of the attention). You can also create your own personalised pet via a complex customisation tool that's just as versatile as the one for humans and on the PC version you can even send your four-legged friend to work!

Most exciting moment:
On the PC this is a perfectly welcome but very narrow expansion. However the full price console version is actually a considerable improvement on the original with an easier-to-use interface, better artificial intelligence and even reduced loading times.

Since you ask:
The next PC expansion pack is called In Season and seems to be roughly analogous to The Sims expansion On Holiday, in that it'll focus on exterior objects and locations. It's not yet clear whether there'll be a console version.

The bottom line:
Finally, The Sims is made to work on consoles!-HARRISON DENT

the sims 2 pets is so cool you can evan teach you pets stuff like play dead!!, shake, stay, roll over and sit and it very easy to teach them all the trickets also its very easy to feed the pets you just fill the bowl with food then it larsts about a week but it is different for fish and hamsters. hamsters you have to feed every 2 days and fish every 4 days at lest. the only thing that is frostrateing is when the pets whant to play because they get quiet board after a while.

Hi,
The reasons for buying this game are:
*You can train/care for yor very own pets(Dog or Cat)
*There is some nice clothing/accesories for your Sims and Pets)
*You can take your Pets to the park so you can meet new people.
*Your "Needs" I have found don't go down as much as they do on the other sims games.
*There are some shops that sell cool things for your pets.

The reasons too not buy this game are:
*The loading times are kind of slow.
*You cannot have children or get married.
*It gets slightly oring after a while.
*Pets don't really cause that much damage, only a little bit.
*It is easy to train pets and nothing is that challenging.

Overall I do like the game because there is some new stuff to do but I think in general it gets very boring after a while. Beaware it is nothing like the Sims Pets for the PC.

Happy playing!!

I was very exited to get this game but once i had played it for a few days it got very ,very boring. If your going to buy a Sims game then i would recommend getting the Sims 2 Castaway. This game is definetly a no-no. I found it to be a waste of money and i dont play it at all any more.

Sims 2 Pets (Psp) Is a huge step up from older sims games, New addidions like being able to walk around freely but also the option of using the clasical mode are avaliable. Pets also have there own life style to. They get moody, have aspirations need fed ect. and can do almost all the things a sim can do.

Pro's
New walking freely mode but optional classic mode
Pets have there own aspirations and need fed ect.
Choose premade house layouts
Lots of new items

Con's
Not a large selection of pets
Not as addictave as other sims games

Overall a good game to pick up and play but if your a hardcore sims gamer stick to Pc.
