Amazon.co.uk Review: In a nutshell: It's the game football fans wait all year for and to usher in the next generation EA Sports have given FIFA its biggest revamp in years, changing not just the way it looks but the way it plays in what aims to be the ultimate marriage of realism and fun.The lowdown: Every new FIFA game gets its expected improvements in graphics and presentation but this year the success of Pro Evolution Soccer seems to have driven EA to concentrate just as much on the gameplay. As such the game features better passing, crossing and free kicks as well as greatly improved goalkeepers. There's also a new "finesse" shot if you get the time and space to use it, while every kick is calculated in terms of space, composure and technique so that it's accuracy is determined by exactly what's happening on the pitch and not just some random factor. Add in completely new ball physics, more than 510 teams, 27 leagues, 4,000 licensed players and all new international crowd reactions and you've got EA's most concerted attempt yet to make the definitive football game. Most exciting moment: As well as all the individual improvements to ball and player control many of the game's best strikers have their own signatures moves and free kicks, such as Ronaldinho, Frank Lampard and Roberto Carlos. This includes the ability to, quite literally, bend it like Beckham. Since you ask: As befits its global reach FIFA 07 has perhaps the most multinational soundtrack ever in video games, with everything from Argentinean rock band Bersuit Vergarabat to Spain's The Pinker Tones and German group d.o.c.h.! (As well as Britbands such as Muse and The Young Punx.) The bottom line: FIFA gets serious in its attempt to out-football Pro Evolution Soccer .HARRISON DENT

Great Game November 5, 2007 M. N. Blond (London) I have always been a follower of the PES series but thought I would give the FIFA 07 a trial while waiting for the new PES to launch. Overall the game is great fun with the only drawback being the constant freezing in manager mode.
Good but frustrating! September 25, 2007 A. Brown (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Ive always enjoyed the fifa games and i was not sure if i could get used to playing on such a small screen...but i have and enjoy it but laso find it very frustrating...for these reasons: When you play manager mode and lead your team from rock bottom to the premiership....you never win any money for league titles or winning the cup. This is very frustrating as you cant build a decent bank account to buy good players...you dont even get an award for winning the premiership..and i did with Carlisle!!! Trust me it is very annoying when you are stuck with the same players unable to buy anyone where the commentator mentions hid name. Another frustrating point..when you go to review a players contract, not only do they decline it 90% of the time...but occasionally when they agree..it still comes up as if it has not been accepted. On one occasion, i offered a crap player with a poor rating 20000 per game...and he still turned it down. Finally, i play with 2 mins per half....but when 90mins are up with an extra 2 mins injury time...it is like playing another half...its ridiculous... My score 7/10 for game play and graphics on the small screen. 2/10 for realistic....play it on your own otherwise you may end up punching someone!
What are you waiting for? June 29, 2007 Woody (England) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great game! Season after season of action packed fun. Control your favourite team in manager mode where you can create your dream squad and buy your favourite players with a premiership club. Or you could do what I did and choose a lower down team and take them to the top. There are also a couple of great mini games and the opporunity to watch unlockable interviews, and 2006 season highlights. The only downpoint is the commentry. For example I had a corner and five minutes later scored to which the commentator said, 'It's a corner, I wonder what they can make of it here.' Otherwise the actual football gameplay is great. MUST GET GAME!

Fifa 07 PSP March 16, 2007 Mr. A. G. Foxhall (UK) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have always been Po Evo man myself but due to wanting to play friends online I bought Fifa 07 on the Pc and was amazed how much the game had improved. On this basis I then purchased the PSP version and in comparison to Pro Evolution 6 on the PSP this game is amazing! I was very disappointed with Pro Evo 6 as it was a shadow of it's PC conterpart but somehow EA have managed to cram nearly all the PC features of Fifa into the PSP version. Cut scenes come in and go out without a lengthly load time as in PES6 which adds to the atmosphere of the game instead of making you angry it takes so long. Also with all the real player names/kits/logos etc it just looks amazing. Whilst PES6 is possibly a more skillfull game, Fifa07 is a whole lot more fun! With a manager mode included this is all you could wish for from a football game! Amazing!
