Oh my god EA, how could it be soo bad! Maybe I should just blame the game testers for thinking that this game is any better than pathetic.
Anyway I,ll just list the bad points here.
1.Passing. After pressing the pass button then waiting a stupid amount of time for it to pass youll be lucky if it actually goes in the right direction. It seems to get even more eratic in the harder levels. Half of the time it goes to the other team aswell.
2.Shooting. No skill required at all, just luck. If you actually get a chance to shoot then youll most likely miss anyway and if its on target then it will be saved. But hey the computer seems to score so easily. I played a game where I had 12 shots at goal in one half about ten were on target but saved and then on the computers first shot at my goal it goes in.
3.AI.I know football players arent known for their brains but this these players are soo stupid. They never run into space and passes bounce of your own players (straight to the opponents of course).
Playing the game on harder levels doesnt make the opponent play with any more flare it just makes the already crap passing even worse and it more impossible to score a goal.
4. Cheating computer. Its soo badly one sided its funny. Your away on goal and their defender will simply pull you down. Also doesnt matter if your ahead sprinting away cause their players seem to be always able to catch up. Thierry Henry is away on goal but slow Sami Hypia can catch up, I dont think so.
5. Useless tackle buttons. Sliding tackles always cause a foul and trying to steal the ball from the other team is almost impossible so dont bother, I find though that if they are running at goal then you might aswell foul them cause they will always score if you dont.
Anyway enough said exept to avoid this game like the plague.
Believe me it is bad and I cant understand how someone can seriously give this game 5 stars.

Already owning PES 5(Which is awesome) its just a shame their's no Master league and online facility. I basically bought this on the strength of the online capabilities. I have to say its the most fun I've had online, plus their's a full season to be had so it seems to have everything. PES 5 is still the most realistic hands down but this is a nice little game if you want to play online, just wish it had the same buttons as PES 5...Cross to shoot, vice versa! I can't count how many times I pressed the shoot button on a one on one with the keeper and blasted it straight over the bar. If you do play online choose someone who has a strong connection as if it they don't the game slows down to a virtual stand still mid game & it's like playing through treacle! Saying that this is loads of fun. Recommended.

fifa o6 is a great football game i no there is other football games out there but this is the best. there's no point playing pro evolution as they got rid of the master league and world tour soccer is just not in the same league as fifa 06. i have played o6 with my m8s and its good fun that's if your in to sweaty hands holding your hart in your mouth.
To round fifa 06 up in to 1 its a game worth your money don't forget this is 1 of the best football games around so your not going to find any think better (gamespot rate it 8.7) (i rate it 8.5)
remember this is fifa 2006 fifa and its been around for years its the football game i grew up with well except senceibal soccor on the amstrad or was it the omega well it was the 1 with the great joystick with the red button on the top and the trigger button on the front i use to stick the suction pads to a mat for btr game play the good old days.

the graphics aren't very good and they don't follow the rules of football. I've played the game many times and i've lost count of the amount of times i've been through on goal and a defender has pulled me over and gotten away with it. This game is not for anyone who doesn't like rules being broken.

Well every time a new fifa is released every year i have the same expectations, dull and only improved as it comes for the rosters of the teams,but when it comes down to PSP version then i had to be pretty careful,ok let`s face it PRO EVO SOCCER 5 is the true king because of it`s real lifelike gameplay,but exactly after PES 5 it is FIFA 06,which is a very very very nice footie sim for our beloved PSP!Where to begin ,how about to begin with the fact that the FIFA 06 PSP version has ALL the stadiums that FIFA 06 has on PS2,PC etc!,all the teams,plus a mini game with juggling!The gameplay is vastly improved,to score now a goal is very difficult compared to the previous FIFA games,it has all the nice presentation,even and the commentary!The only reason that i am not giving FIFA 06 a perfect 5 stars is the graphics,the kits if you look carefully they looking like they are washed out or something or they don`t have the correct colors!,but this is THE ONLY glitch i could spot!Now as far the game modes of FIFA 06 it has everything you could hope for,SEASON,TOURNAMENT,CHALLENGES,CUP,everything and it also has the ability to create your own tournament with your own teams and groups,so that means you can create the ch.league groups since all the teams that competed the group phase they are all included in FIFA 06 all but one(Artmedia Bratislava)but anyway.FIFA 06 in PSP is immediate replacement of PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 5,that means if you are a FIFA fan go and and get it!!!
