Amazon.co.uk Review: In a nutshell: TV's (or at least DVD's) most outrageous cartoon family get their own video game that not only looks just like the show but is just as funny and offensive. The lowdown: Being cancelled may have been the best thing that's ever happened to Family Guy, because ever since it was brought back it's been more popular than ever - why it's even got its own video game now. As with most licensed games it's not exactly breaking down any gameplay paradigms, but at least it's got some quality gags to fall back on. You can control one of three characters: Brain the dog (whose levels are all stealth based), Peter the dad (whose missions are basically scrolling beat `em-ups) and baby Stewie. There's also a lot of very short mini-games, but none of it really adds up to being more than an interactive background for the game's jokes. For most Family Guy fans that's going to be fine though. Most exciting moment: As you might expect the best bits of the game involve Stewie, the family's psychotic baby. They're basically platform levels with Stewie jumping, gliding and shooting his way to world domination. He's also got a mind control ray for taking over adults and there's some fun on-the-rails shooting sections and into-the-screen chases. Since you ask: The game's script is written by series creator Seth McFarlane, who also provides voiceovers along with series regulars Mila Kunis, Alex Borstein, Seth Green, Patrick Warburton and Adam West. There's even a bunch of regular guest stars including Wallace Shawn, Charles Durning, and Adam Corolla. The bottom line: Good for Family Guy fans, not so good for everyone else.-HARRISON DENT

It's an interactive episode! February 17, 2008 D. Climo Okay I had never seen 'Family Guy' the series until a few weeks ago. After the first episode I watched I decided that I was a fan. There's nothing more funny than laughing at how stupid the very politically incorrect Peter Griffin is. Then a few days later I starting seeing this game lurking around some game shops in my town. The other day I decided to buy it at it's cheap price despite the review I read in a magazine (OPSM2 3/10) and to be honest I think it is just as great as one of the episodes. I love the levels where you play as Stewie and have to brainwash people to get them to do things for you as well as repestedly zapping innocent people. I'm not too keen on the Brian levels and yet to experience the Peter ones. Overall it is as good as the Simpsons Hit N Run was, just don't expect it to be free roaming like that was. Great. Get this game. I command you!
GREAT & CHALLENGING GAME - SURPRISING !!! September 28, 2007 Rob (Leeds, UK) After reading some reviews here before purchasing, I did think that the game would probably be a bit naff in places, simply because what some people have said. Now, I agree 100% that people are entitled to their own opinions, but I honestly can't understand why some people have been as critical on the game as they have been here, it just seems like keen gamers wanting to put a downer on a game thats been done from a TV show (which usually are expected to be naff). The game is fun, the graphics are light graphics but do look good, the quotes, storylines & comments are very funny (just like the TV show) & the game is actually really challenging too, it's not too frustrating and with the levels that are a little hard to do, it's just practise & working out a way how to do it, then you can do it everytime then. You do have to get a knack of the controls though (IE the leg sweep, dont do the combination too fast) but again, once you done this, it's a really fun & good game to do, not too easy, not too hard, challenging with humour also. At 5.95 (Current price at the moment), their really is no room for complaint here because you are getting complete value for money, and this is an honest review also.
Family Guy Review September 9, 2007 Mr. S. Martin-morris 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This game surprised me a lot as i didn't think it would be all that great but as a family guy fan i bought it and gave it a chance, i have to say, best 5 quid i've spent. The storylines for the three characters (Brian, Stewie and Peter) are hilarious and reflect the series very much. The great things about the game are the real voice-overs and the small cameo appearances by characters such as the greased up deaf guy, the evil monkey etc give the game more depth and shows deep thought went into making it. Complete with flashbacks into the past that have become a trademark for the show (Brian burying 'Quagmire in the Blair Fist Project) and small snippets of past shows that only family guy fans will understand, this game is a cert for fans.
GREAT GAME (AGAIN) May 20, 2007 Leyander Brenda.c (Nottingham, England0) 1 out of 8 found this review helpful
The first video game based on the hugely popular Family Guy TV show, the Family Guy game features the same outrageous humour all the fans know and love. Play through three stories that intersect in typical Family Guy fashion. Be Stewie and match wits against his arch-nemesis half-brother Bertram as they vie to take over the world. Take control of Peter and fight to stop Mr. Belvedere who he thinks is trying to take over the world. Slip on a collar and down a martini as Brian and attempt to escape prison and prove your innocence in a puppy parental case gone awry. Voiced and scripted by members of the real Family Guy TV show creative team Visit familiar locations around Quahog and interact with many beloved characters from the show! Giggity! Giggity! Giggity! Freakin' sweet gameplay switches back and forth between three popular characters from the show: the loveable Peter, the diabolical Stewie and the charismatic Brian. Funny, unique, and pick-up-and-play combination of combat, stealth and puzzle-solving gameplay. Family Guy wouldn't be complete without the random funny things, satirizing pop-culture that jump out and seemingly have no place in the flow of the story now you can actually play them Interactive Humour take part in the over-the-top jokes, parodies and sarcasm as though you were part of the show. holy crap, the best game evcer, god this is freakin sweet
