Battlefield is the game of the year... make that ever!!! July 28, 2010 Bobertron I have always been a cod player and I was frustrated by it all the time. I persisted with it however because I didn't think there was another decent FPS... I couldn't have been more wrong someone recommended to me and I was very sceptical however Amazon offered a great deal so I went for it.
The Single player is alright but nothing to shout about however the online is simply perfection the community is nice unlike cod where 10 year old children just boost (cheat) and insult each other. People work together to complete goals and dont just try to help themselves. The game adds a lot more realism then cod too.
The Game is fantastic and I cant be bothered to list all the great things because I want to play it now! But if cod frustrates you and you need a change, make the bold decision and BUY THIS GAME!!!
Purchase of the Year (thus far...) July 27, 2010 C. Disley (United Kingdom) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I never buy a game upon release (well, I had Halo 3 available on release, but it wasn't me that bought it!) so by the time I purchased Bad Company 2 in Early-Mid July for the 360, I had been given ample time to read up on reviews and a Universe of gameplay videos to watch. Did it eventually live up to the shiny expectations floating around my mind? Yes, it certainly did... in the Multiplayer alone. I don't even feel the need to review Singleplayer, because it was worth the £29 buy for the online action alone.
So what makes it fun? Well for one thing, I'll jump right in and say the availability of air transport was extreamly refreshing. That's right COD fans, no killstreaks needed (on that note, there are no killstreaks to give high ranking players an unfair advantage, huzzah)! But not just that, the gadgets, the specilisations (or "perks" if you will) and most certainly Destruction 2.0 make an interesting online experience even moreso. I am now also in a position to play this, In the few weeks I've owned the game, I've clocked in more online than Modern Warfare 2 since November 2010 - and I've certainly had more fun.
Squad based gaming is always risky, and sometimes, it's downright silly. In one "Rush" match for example, a whole 4 players (one "squad") spent their time spamming C4 on vehicles and driving off over hills and blowing them up. But no matter, three clicks later and I was in another game on the same map with no progress lost. Great! Another small annoyance is the ability to go up to backstab an enemy player, only for that enemy player to be surrounded by 3 freshly spawned squad members. Back to the spawn screen I go. Nevertheless, this hasn't stopped me loving the game.
Mortar Strikes, Motion Sensors, Defibulators, Ammo Packs and everything else in between unlocking achievements and gathering the dogtags of the players you have killed with your not-so-trusty combat knife. Many would argue that Call of Duty has the defining online multiplayer experience. But now I gladly say, after being a CoD fan myself for many years, it isn't. Have you even tried Battlefield: Bad Company 2? The unpredictable and unique moments in this game really can't be found anywhere else.
Easily a 5/5 stars from me. See you on the battlefield!
Great online game July 24, 2010 F. A. Hernandez Juan 1 out of 1 found this review helpful

The best July 23, 2010 J. Neeson (Belfast, N.Ireland) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Im sorry to tell you this folks. If you buy this game you will have NO life left. The story mode of the game is excellent and fun to play, plus you will have hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! of fun playing this game online.
You will get angry as someone snips you from across the map but once you work out where they are and get payback they joy is ahhh.
You will shout as your team does not do what you want at first but once you win the round you will cry out with joy.
I used to think cal of duty was the best war game around but to my happyness Battlefield beats it hands down, infact there is not even a contest between the to off them. You need to own this game and experence they joy.
Not that good, COD better July 22, 2010 Martin Buckman 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this game after playing Modern Warfare 2.
Firstly the game doesn't look that good, the environments look bland. The overall look is not that good.
The gameplay is the same as any other war shooter.
The game main story has some frusrating and difficult sections. The checkpoints are quite far apart and the vehicle sections can be very difficult.
The use of vehicles makes this game different, but the handling of them is not that realistic.
I bought it for around £40 which is OK for the online play, but no just fot the main story mode.
Verdict-
Graphics:7/10
Gameplay:8/10
Replay value:5/10 (Story mode)
Price:7/10
Overall:7/10
