Product Description
One of Japan's biggest new action series of recent years is heating up - literally. As the ice caps melt the planet of E.D.N III turns from a frozen wasteland to a mix of jungle paradise and blistering desert. That only makes the world more dangerous though, with the continued threat of "snow" pirates and even bigger and more aggressive Akrid monsters. Inspired by Halo and other Western action games this third person shooter also blends in the best of Japanese titles with role-playing style character customisation and some of the best giant robot suits in the business. Brand new for this sequel is a four-player co-operative option that lets you play through the whole single player campaign with three allies (either human or computer controlled). With a greatly expanded competitive multiplayer as well this should reveal and exploit all of the potential of the original Lost Planet. - 4-player co-op action: Team up to battle the giant Akrid in explosive 4 player co-operative play. Teamwork is the players key to victory as the team is dependent on each other to succeed and survive.
- Single-player game evolves based on players decisions and actions
- Deep level of character customization: Players will have hundreds of different ways to customize their look to truly help them define their character on the battlefield both on- and offline. Certain weapons can also be customized to suit individual player style.
- Beautiful massive environments: Capcoms advanced graphics engine, MT Framework 2.0, will bring the game to life with the next step in 3D fidelity and performance.
- Massive scale of enemies: Players skill on the battlefield and work as a team will be tested like never before against the giant Akrid. Players will utilize teamwork tactics, new weapons and a variety of vital suits (VS) to fight these larger-than-life bosses.

great game August 4, 2010 iane 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
im not sure why the other writers gave this such a poor rating. The game is excellent and really makes you want to play all the time.I play almost two hours a night and because of work commitments have to reluctantly put the controller down....great game and is a good sequel
Lame! August 2, 2010 Mr. A. R. Lowdon (Newcastle, UK) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
This might of passable on the PS1 but as a PS3 game it's a very poor effort. Graphics are poor and gameplay is hopeless. AVOID!!!
Lost Planet 2. July 22, 2010 Link000 A great game, fans of the first will definately like this or if you havn't played the first but like the idea of hunting monsters and different bad guys with a large array of guns and killing machines then this is a good buy.
Not that great June 14, 2010 K. H. Wan 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
In the demo, I was absorb in the experience of killing large creatures and it was so much fun, especially with friends. But when I got the actual game, it got frustrating alot of the time. I wanted to play with online people but it never lets me into a room because "I haven't completed this Chapter yet". Mostly its people in Japan that plays this so connection isn't so great. The big monsters (Akrids) spams the same move over and over, resulting in you being sweeped of your feet over and over.....ANNOYING.
Although some of the good points is that its a nice idea killing massive Akrids with decent looking graphics and cool weapons. Weapons is the key selling point of this game I think.
Things they could improve is the gameplay, make more variety other than just spamming O on data posts on alot of the missions. Improve online gameplay, so everytime you search a game only the chapters you can play come up rather than a list of rooms with 90% of them you can't enter and you have to search again and again.
Overall it has some good points e.g Weapons and graphics. But the bad points far outweigh them e.g bad online features, spamming button on data posts and spamming Akrids

Great game, better than demo or reviews make you believe. It's just 100% action. Kampaign is best with four online players, so the only reason not to get this game is if your PS3/Xbox is not online.
Story seems to be missing, but only at the end you get what all the episodes have been leading up to. At second play-through the story truly unfolds and has many surprises, now that you know the great whole.
Controlls are fine, and many ways to customize to one's preferences.
Hundreds of items, fun-moves (emotes) and more to unlock to keep you playing/collecting/unlocking for weeks without end.
Highly recommendable game!!!
