Product Description
The original was one of the first games to really prove the power of the PS3, but this sequel is another huge leap forward. The first game already mixed intense gunplay with precarious platform action, but this adds in new stealth elements and more flexible parkour style climbing controls. Your enemies have been upgraded as well, with state-of-the-art artificial intelligence that makes them just as agile and resourceful as you.Always known for its stunning graphics, this sequel not only looks better but it's now much more dynamic, with fully destructible scenery in every level. Add-in all-new co-operative and competitive multiplayer and you've got one of the most exciting action adventures of the year.Key Features: - Cinematic action: Amazing third person action that genuinely feels like you're in your own action film, with gunfights, treasure hunting and even romance!- New tactics: Use new stealth and parkour based tactics to tackle the newly enhanced artificial intelligence, with bad guys so realistic they even have simulated peripheral vision.- 100% efficiency: Developer Naughty Dog claim the first game only used 30% of the PS3's power. With destructible environments and huge levels this is aims to max the console out.- Friends reunited: For the first time you and two friends (as Sully and Chloe) can play together in the same game, with the brand new co-op mode.- Uncharted territory: Also new is the competitive multiplayer, where you can play as either the heroes or villains in deathmatch and capture the flag games.About the Developer: Naughty DogNot only did this Sony-owned studio create the original Crash Bandicoot games, but they also made all of the core Jak and Daxter games and the Uncharted series. They also have a long history of co-operation with Ratchet & Clank makers Insomniac Games, after the two shared offices together.

5 out of 5 stars Absolutely fantastic   July 12, 2010
Ms. R. H. Carlin
I had recently played the call of duty games until i thought i would give this game a try for a change. And i dont think i could go back. This game is fantastic, it gripped me and i didnt want to put the controller down. The storyline and graphics were brilliant. I wouldnt think twice about buying this game its excellent.

5 out of 5 stars Damned excellent   June 30, 2010
MyMobo (behind you)
Gameplay
Gamepay is really excellent, the controls for the majority of the time are spot on. The game can be hard in places with lots of enemies taking shots at you, in the later stages the enemies get even tougher as well. I found the game to be quiet difficult in places as it seems that you always have to go the long way/ difficult way to get to where you want, but then occasionally you don't have to. It happened so rarely than when it did I was stuck for ages. lol.

Graphics
Graphics are really quiet good, The graphics are unfortunately not up to pc gaming standards but then the ps3 equipment is relatively old. From what people have said this is some of the best graphics for the ps3 and I certainly have not seen any better.

Audio
Voices and voice acting are excellent. Not much to say really about the music, it doesn't intrude, but it didn't really stand out either tbh.

Story
The story is interesting always leading you forward. The characters are excellent, the side comments, humour, slagging and flirting between them all build up to fully developed characters. This is one of few games that are special, where you actually care about the characters.

Online
This is something I haven't played much of yet. It is very different from the actual game, but not in a bad way. I have enjoyed playing online despite not really liking the ps3 online experience tbh (see my ps3 review for more info). The only reason I stopped playing online atm is so that I could start Assassins' Creed 2. I will get back to it.

Overall
Overall, this game is definitely worth buying, the best I've played on the ps3 by a long way. The game really is a platform game in essence but a platform game with lots of shooting, loads of character, brilliant npc's and a great script.
As I write this, the game is at £25 or so (half price!!) so do yourself a favour and pick it up.

One other thing, this game has Claudia Black's voice. Not wishing to reveal the utter depth of my crush on her, I will just say that this alone is reason to by the game. :)

5 out of 5 stars Highly recommended   June 22, 2010

Enjoyed every bit of this game. One of the best I have ever played. Although its a reasonably long game but I wish it never ended.

5 out of 5 stars Amazing!   June 21, 2010

I brought this game a while back, the story is amazing, however in my opinion, not as good as the first, but the new features and multi-player definitely make up for it. The gameplay is very different aswell, which makes it more amazing, since most of the games have you just running around on flat ground, but Nate can swing from ropes, climb up buildings and signs, fall down loose bricks, etc..
Uncharted has stunning graphics aswell, it just makes you stop and stare for a moment :p
The music goes with what's happening, it's peaceful when you're just walking through somewhere, and gets faster and louder when a fight is going on, it just makes the fights seem more dramatic. Onto the fighting, the new melee system is great, new stealth take-downs. (I always love stealth in games!) The gun-fights are mainly the same, I mean what can you change, except new weapons. There is two new grenade systems, when I first used it I was confused as hell, but it's a great improvement and very easy to use after a while.

Now multi-player, I love Uncharted's multi-player, simply because it's different.. there is many places to climb up and escape, aswell as different hide-outs which i'm still finding out about! I mainly play co-op with some of my friends since in competitive people just Hammer/RPG/etc-spam and it gets frustrating after a while, because they could be half-way across the map and just sniper you from their spawn point. But yeah, co-op is really fun.. I normally finish the whole 10 rounds but sometimes i'm paired with someone who likes to stand in the middle of the AI spawn points to get more kills, but ends up getting downed themselves lol.

Great game, i'd recommend it to anyone. :D

3 out of 5 stars OK   June 21, 2010

Apparently this is the best selling PS3 game, so I thought I'd buy it to see what all the fuss was about. The game is probably best classified as a 3rd person action adventure, a bit of jumping and shooting, some good actions bits and some frustrating stealth parts. Overall I enjoyed the game, but felt that alot was missing from the single player to make it really stand out, and the multiplayer is ok for a few hours. It's like a jack of all trades of a game, but presentation is excellent and has some talent behind the game.

GRAPHICS - 7
(Very pretty, stable and fast. Although not as good as some PC\360 games in looks)
SOUND - 8
(A very good musical score and voice acting, with pretty good overall audio effects)
GAMEPLAY - 6
(Single player is "Old school" and reliable but after you've done it, there's not much more to do)
CONTROLS - 5
(A bit light and wavy with the movement and shooting, so does require some compensation)
PRESENTATION - 7
(Very good story, cutscenes and "feel". It's the strong point of the game)
LONGEVITY - 6
(Single player is pretty longwinded, with some annoying levels and dynamics but overall it's a good length, I thought multiplayer would make things last longer, but it's just a distraction)
OVERALL - 6
A good game with a mix os old school gaming and next gen looks. There's just something missing to make it stand out personally as I've played better in the past.
