4 out of 5 stars Xbox Arcade   July 22, 2010
Giedrius
Even though console (Arcade 512MB) original release date (2009 August) is older than is described in product page, it doesn't really matter, because it has new Jasper chip.

2 out of 5 stars More expensive in the long run   May 27, 2010

I've had this console for about 3 years now and im trading it in to get a ps3. I wouldn't consider myself a "fanboy" of any console im just going to give my honest opinion.

This console appears cheap but it is not. If you want to see it at its full potential you have to pay alot of money for very expensive add ons. For example a new hard drive (120gb) at game is 60 quid, a network adapter is 50 quid, the wireless controller and charge and play kit is 30 quid (preowned)and if you want to ease the pressure on the lense reading the discs by getting the add on dvd player thats another 50 quid, 1 year on xbox live is another 40 quid. The list goes on.

Microsoft released everything as seperate add ons whereas sony built everything in, even the online gaming is free. By the time you've upgraded the 360, the ps3 is cheaper and you get the blu-ray drive which looks stunning.

Im not knocking the quality of this console because for 3 years i've played some great games and i've never had any breakdowns (the hdmi console has a new cooler chipset in it)its the price of everything for it i dont like.

Lastly, the ps3 lets you use any sata 2.5 drive in it whereas the 360 only accepts the microsoft branded ones.

to summarise, this console is ruined by microsoft corporation's greed.

3 out of 5 stars Xbox 360 elite console   May 19, 2010

Xbox 360 Elite Console (120GB Hard Drive)Yes I feel the comments made here were a true and honest account of the xbox360 as I have a console too and it is real dam loud!!! . anyone would think you were powering up a f16 or the likes with all that noise going on in the background but it is mostly noticeable when watching a dvd late in the night. Everything about this machine is sleek and desirable but there are a few areas that need to be updated please !!!. The console is a wonderful and almost excellent games console but it is only that a games console. The cross compatible nature of this machine needs more thought the idea of having a games console that can store more than just games, it can store music and pictures. You can also stream movies to your tv but these must be uploaded or streamed from microsoft recommended sites and you can't store your own movies on it's rather large hard drive. And if you wish to use windows media centre with this console you need to have windows 7 the latest operating system from microsoft and with that you can also get sky tv but only selected channels at selected times and if you want to see a blockbuster movie you need to have a subscription or get pay per view ( only available if you have a subscription ) .
