1 out of 5 stars Sony just don't care   November 4, 2009

Well you cannot fault the machine when it is working. However, when it stops Sony just do not want to know. My PS3 disc player failed, I phoned Sony for help and the patronising attitude I was met with was quite astonishing. Their comment 'Well you don't expect it to last for ever do you?'. I thought it would last two years though!

As one person I am unable to take on the power of Sony. The true mark of any great company is how they treat their customers when things go wrong. The first time I contacted Sony for help I felt badly let down - hence the poor rating.

5 out of 5 stars The godfather of all gaming consoles   September 28, 2009

Playstation 3 RULES! The console and selection of quality of games available to buy surpassed my expectations. "Playstation Home" is also a nice integrated feature were you can create a virtual character of yourself and interact with other Playstation 3 owners in a virtual world. The Bluray player is an added bonus for watching high definition video content. Unlike Microsoft's Xbox 360 that only outputs 1080i, the Playstation 3 outputs true high definition at 1920x1080p and the picture quality is excellent.

What really surprised me the most though, is that I found a few of my old Playstation 1 games hanging around and decided to see if the Playstation 3 will play them. To my surprise I was able to play my old Playstation 1 games on the Playstation 3!

5 out of 5 stars Pure Entertainment!!   September 17, 2009
Mr. Paul J. White (UK)
I got this as part of a phone deal and wow this is more than a games console, its not just a games console anymore i think the word games console is what you would get from the 80's/90's where all you can do is just play games theres nothing wrong with that at all!! but ps3 or even xboxes are just more than that, but im just gonna focus on ps3, personally i think if u have a hd tv why wouldnt anyone want a ps3 as it plays blue rays, xbox dont do this and gaming is free online, for me ps3 is best for entertainment as it has more to offer than any other system out there for now, and with 80 gig well after you boot up your ps3 for first time your left with around 65 gig, this is still plenty to start off with and you always have the option of buying a bigger hard drive. All i can say is PS3 is a fantastic piece of equipment!! and with games such as New cod, fifa10, eyepet or uncharted2 and many more games coming out this is gonna tempt alot more people to go and buy one, like i say i got this part of a phone deal.

5 out of 5 stars PS3 is the best...   September 10, 2009

I have had the PS3 for a while now and it is a gem. I love the blu-ray! The 80GB HDD is enough for most users I believe. Of course now the new slim PS3 has come on to the market which makes this one look really fat, but I am happy with it as I wont exactly be carrying it around from house to house. I will definitely buy the PS3 slim one day when I have enough money! :)

1 out of 5 stars Crashes more than my pc?   September 6, 2009

Bought this a couple of weeks ago - overall i was impressed till i played, quantam of solace - it would crash on the first level at the helicopter not to mention audio going into loops, returned game. Okay I thought, just the game. So I get uncharted 1, get two hours into it and it crashes during a save wiping out 20 minutes of gameplay - apparently this happens after your console updates its firmware to version 3 - and not just with that game, some people cant even get their controllers to work with their console know! My complaint is, I hardly even get these problems with a pc and consoles are supposed to be pick up and play - dont worry about compatability - thats there appeal but when 2/8 of your games have problems preventing you from playing them, somethings wrong!
