I still play this classic November 14, 2008

Vice city is possibly my favourite game of all time and it's still my favourite gta for its time, but I would say as a all this is still the best gta for size, variety and replay value and although this was released in 2004, I still play this even though I have an xbox 360.
I bought this ps2 version on release, but its the xbox version I still play now (although I still have this ps2 version), but only because of the custom soundtrack feature. This really is in my opinion a masterpiece, everytime I play this game I still occasionally think wow because of the size and variety of this beautifully, absolutely beautifully designed fictional county, with three cities obviously Los Angeles(Los Santos), San Francisco(San Fierro) and Las Vegas(Las Venturas). All these cities look completely unique from each other, but you also get loads and loads of beautifully designed country and desert with little towns. Some game fans weren't happy with the country and desert because there isn't much to do, but to me it makes it feel realistic and haunting. Go in an isolated part of the desert at night and make a fire or go in the country and watch the sunrise, beautiful. Everytime I see a movie or tv series filmed in various parts of the US (obviously california the main one), I nearly always think of this particular game (I can't be the only one), that really says to me how well I think this gta world is designed.
It does annoy me when people say this is vice city in another city. This gave you so much more to do other than follow the main story, so much more. Gambling in various ways, mountain bike racing, skydiving and swimming. But it wasn't just the things to do that improved from vice city, but also the AI. For example in this when you heard a cop car for the first time and they weren't after you (in vice city if you heard them they were after you), but some bikers on a harley with one on the back shooting at them, absolutely brilliant, it made the place feel like it wasn't just about you. Then there is the so simple but hilarious way you can interact with various pedestrians and not know what they say or how they react (I still occasianally hear new dialogue from the pedestrians after all these years). Another thing is you have always got something to spend your cash on, you can never make too much. I have about 90 million dollars (I made most of it by betting on the horse with the longest odds). Plenty of clothes and hairstyles, even weight to choose from, great radio and voice acting again from major actors including James Woods, the late Chris Penn RIP, Samuel L Jackson, and many more.
There are so many more reasons why I think this is a masterpiece, but I think I have said enough. I don't need to go into the story because if you're reading this then you probably own this classic. I just had to comment on it.

This game is utterly mental. Loads of missions, bars and nightclubs, and mod shops and property's to rob and buy. The game is frankly huge: never mind one city: more like three. I bought this after i purchased vice city and loved it! The best thing is to fight for your territory! If you like GTA games, buy this! Go Rockstar!

this is the best gta ever! some of the features in it will be better than the ones in grand theft auto IV because it has a bigger map that gta 4 it has deserts and country side which you can spend hours exploring and having fun with. the gta games get better and better except for LBS and VCS but they don't count because there originally for PSP. anyway
this is amazing i don't think anyone can hate this game it has everything you can free roam, go to the gym, have girl friends, gang wars with territory, amazing storyline, it has two player and so much more if i explained everything i would be here for hours just buy this game i promise you wont be dissapointed with it.

This is probably the best game ever not just in GTA but ever. It has loads of missions, characters and a great storyline full of new places and twists. There are more gangs and so much stuff to do aswell other than missions evn gamble, exercise, play sports and bet on numerous things. You can find things, get weapon skill and dress him how you wish. It is set in a huge place, not just a city but a state based on Los Angeles-Los Santos, San Fransisco-San Fiero, Las Vegas-Las Venturas, California Badlands-Flint and Red County and Nevada Desert-Bone County. You slowly take control of the streets of the gangs making allies, friends and enemies.
The storyline is about a person called Carl Johnson known as CJ who apparently let his little brother die and in guilt fled to Liberty City to work for the Leone Mafia. A organized mob frequently appearing throughout the GTA series but is called home five years later to hear that an enemy gang killed their mother so CJ has to come home to his older brother to try and find the Balla gang where she lived but the gang has fallen appart and are nearly destroyed. Slowly he is forced to flee cities to the next all the way across the countryside and desert thanks to contacts and edventually gets his revenge.
This game is funer without cheats and they can ruin it. This is a classic game for anyone.

i found this game tons better then vice city because of the storey line mostly as its apparently based on a true storey but also the detail of the game amazes me, i live in manchester and have grew up witnessing similer things happen to what goes on in this game. its good to see the host of celebrities that do the voices of the characters and the scenery and cities are second to none compeard to other gta games
