Product Description
Following the success of the first episode of Ghost Recon 3 Advanced Warfighter, Ubisoft has released a sequel on the Xbox 360: Ghost Recon 3 Advanced Warfighter. The action takes place in 2014, one year after the events of the first episode. Rebels who have failed their takeover mission decide to get their troops together near the Mexican border, and the ghosts are called upon yet again to defend the country. These valued soldiers have 72 hours to prevent a nuclear attack. Battles take place on American land and along the border near the neighbouring towns of El Paso in Texas and Juarez. The soldier's equipment has been improved and now includes new gadgets, such as Cross-Com 2.0 (information from auxiliaries) and M.U.L.E (ammunition refills on the battlefield). The developers have also gone into detail on the ranking system and each unit now has its own specific functions. The effects are extremely realistic: the weather changes, there are night-time and day-time battles, etc. New cards, weapons and options have been added to the multi-player mode!

4 out of 5 stars Great game!!   June 12, 2008
Mr. Christopher Simpson (uk)
Bought this off Play for 17.99 - left it on my shelf for a month or two because I was enjoying COD4(like everyone else!!). Decided one day to have a go, and, wow, what a great surprise, very addictive, enjoy the tactical side of things. The only thing I can complain about is the aiming, I don't think it is that accurate. However, don't let that put you off. Personally speaking I am not too sure if this is worth 40 - but if you can get it for around 20 then you will have a bargain. It is unfair to compare with COD4 as it is a different type of game. Have not done the online thing yet, as I tend to put on COD instead. Hope this helps.

5 out of 5 stars Brilliant, budget alternate to Call Of Duty 4 (probably)   June 6, 2008
Joseph Yu (Buckinghamshire, UK)
Quick little snippets about the game
- Good graphics
- Good story-line
- Nice multiplayer
- You are not fighting ghosts (my friends thought it was)
- Modern weapons (not futuristic)
So basically, it is a fantastic yet cheap game to buy and get a lot of fun out of it. Multiplayer is online as-well and is magnificent for fist-timers on the PS3. However I have to say that the single player is mostly team based with a few solo-missions. Easy to use interface combined with blood-pumping action got me rating this game 5 stars straight, brilliant.
Oh, and another thing, I got mine cheaper from a seller called SwallowGames and the service was spot on 100%! GOOD GAME FOR A GOOD VALUE!

This game is crap, aiming is awful, gameplay is awesome anyone who rates this 5 stars must not have played call of duty - now that is a real game

5 out of 5 stars Better than i though!!!   March 24, 2008
Mr. D. Bewick (UK)
I bougth this game because i needed something for online and single player. It was this or Vegas, i have played Vegas for Xbox 360 and i though it was ok so i decided to get this instead since i played the first GRAW. Compared to the GRAW, GRAW 2 owns this by far!!!

For some reasons the game is better than the GRAW all round gameplay, multiplayer (brilliant) and coop play.

I give the graphics a 5-5 becasue they have something i did not expect. They have put in sun beams effects not as good as crysis sun beams but its still really good.

Gameplay - 5
Story - 5
Multiplayer - 5
COOP - 5
Graphics - 5
Music - 5

BRilliant deffo get this!!!!!

4 out of 5 stars GRAW 2 ROCKS!   March 12, 2008
David Kitchen (Cannock, Staffordshire, United Kingdom)
This game came bundled with my 60Gb PS3 and I've hardly stopped playing it. Everything from the graphics, to AI, to the online modes is brilliant. The only draw-back (And it's a major one if you don't play online) is that the single player offline game is rather short and can be completed over a weekend or so. But the online mode more than makes up for that, with Ranked Matches and a points-based promotion system to ensure reasonably well-matched games, although I seem to get my ass kicked repeatedly by amazingly talented students/unemployed people/people who REALLY need to get out more (or GRAW 2 fanatics).

Overall, your squad are reasonably smart (But you may find you'r doing most of the dirty work) and they're easy to control & command. The enemy AI is quite brilliant on the higher difficulty settings, as they attempt to pin you down and out-flank you or target the weakest member of your squad (which always seems to be me for some reason). All in all a cracking game and one that sets a benchmark for future PS3 squad-based tactical shooters.

N.B This isn't technically a First-Person Shooter as you can play it's 3rd person (by default) on single player. And will people stop comparing it to CoD4? They're two different sub-genres of Shooters!
