Ignore the other reviewers, they all made the reviews before the product had been released...Mine arrived today and i'm very happy with it. I'm a big PS3 Accessories buyer, so i dont have any free USB slots, so having this work off the mains is perfect for me! No troubles fitting the controller into the charger and it charges perfect.

I couldn't get this to charge my DualShocks using the mains connection, so I tried again using the USB via the PS3 and again no joy.
My old SIXAXIS controllers seemed to work fine through the USB connection via PS3.
Going back...

Bought 2 of these wanting a neat place to store my 4 controlers away from my ps3, only recived 1 and it didn't work so will be sent back. Buy alternative!

charged first time now when i put the controllers in it wont do anything do not buy its a waste of time as i will be sending it back
