3 out of 5 stars great buy shame about the wait   April 12, 2008
Mr. Andy Siequien
apon recieving this item I thought it was great, well worth the money. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was because i ordered this item on 18/2/08 and recieved it on 11/4/08 almost a two month wait for something as simple as a thumb pad, also it uses 2 triple A batteries and doesnt make use of the PS3's bluetooth capabilities (it doesnt use bluetooth it uses a wireless usb).
dont let this review put you off buying this item it is fantastic and works on the PS3 and any PC's and it is plug and play.

1 out of 5 stars Not As Good As Expected   January 30, 2008

I orderd this as I was getting fed up with using the text mode on my PS3. Unfortunately it was faulty when it arrived and there was no power to the keyboard. It also did not look like it was worth 20.
A prime example of a cheap bit of kit that was priced high for the gaming industry. If it was not for the PS3 this would be about 10 tops and it would be worth that.
I didnt want a replacement so Amazon refunded me with no trouble at all.

4 out of 5 stars Works with Wii, too!   January 16, 2008

This little keyboard works just fine with both my PS3 and my Wii. It's mildly annoying that it doesn't work with bluteooth, meaning that my 40gb PS3 has only one spare usb port, but that doesn't detract from the fact that its light, easy to use and most importantly, plug-and-play!

4 out of 5 stars Useful than the Mediaboard?   January 2, 2008

A nice very handy keyboard to use with your PS3. I also have a Logitech Bluetooth PS3 keyboard (see my review if you are considering to buy one) and frankly this thumbpad is more useful for internet and messaging with PS3. Although this is a limited keyboard, it has all keys you will use while surfing or messaging hence you wont feel the difference. Very handy as you can snap it to your controller and this works exteremely good while surfing (zoom with the controller, edit with the thumbpad). Not very heavy although uses 2 AAA batteries but you will feel the difference (don't forget to take it off while playing games as while shaking your SIXAXIS it is wide open to accidents). As other reviewers already mentioned, it has its own design problems. Uses AAA batteries, why not chargeable thru USB like the controller, or why you need a dongle to connect it to your PS3? Also you wont be able to enjoy enjoy the predictive text functionality which is faster for short messages. Overall a nice little add-on for your PS3 that does the job.

1 out of 5 stars rubbish   December 25, 2007

it was good for about 30mins, then when i tried to use it again the usb part would not work in any of the usb holes, so its useless. then for warranty you have to send it to usa insured at your own expense. so you have to pay as much as the things worth. bloody made in china crap!!!!
would not recommend
